Design HDMI video overlay (on-screen display) module

HI, I have loads of experience (20 yrs) in working on ASIC / FPGA designs. For this design I would prefer an FPGA solution. This is not a simple task. We have to design the logic for video overlay, we have to choose a compact FPGA / CPLD which can fit in the logic, we have to implement and interface that can be used to program the FPGA / CPLD, Design a PCB for the design and then make the prototype ready. Technically we can do it. However we need more discussion to arrive at exact time required to make this happen. Best Regards, Harish

Dear employer, Last two years I work full time as an FPGA engineer for medical displays and video processing units. Therefore I know something about HDMI video processing in the FPGA and have contacts for the people who design boards for our company. However, there are some questions that your job description did not answer and before I can decide, whenever I want to commit to this project, I need to know the answers: 1) What HDMI version is required? (Are we speaking HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 or HDMI 1.3?) 2) How many boards will be produced? 3) Who pays for the prototype build and parts? (Is it part of the project budget?) 4)What is the resolution of the overlayed images? Is it just a still image or is it video. If it is video, what are required framerate? Previously implemented "compressive sensing" algorithm designs on FPGA. Worked on Vivado ISE. Will give you customized design as will be discussed and finalized in Milestone#1.
