wordpress multisite network setup

This project will be very simple and very fast. I'm tired of trying to figure out how to correctly set up a multisite network in wordpress; I tried it once but apparently did it incorrectly as the subdomain didn't work once I'd gotten it on the network. So please answer my questions on skype (or telephonic if you're in the US). I may also have questions about setting up the multisite language switcher once the network is finished. I just really can't be bothered to post questions on a forum. This should be quick and painless. :)
