We need to migrate the tables of an Azure SQL Server to another Azure SQL Server during the rewriting of an application. The definitions of the tables have changed in the new version of the application so an analysis of the tables in both source DB and destination DB has been done to determine the mapping from old tables to new tables. The work needed is to extract the data from the source Azure SQL Server and load it into the destination DB according to the mapping rules. Coding should be done using TSQL in SSIS packages. There is also some data to be loaded to an Azure Cosmos DB from the source Azure SQL Server. The source DB has about 1000 columns to extract and feed into 500 columns in the destination DB.

In Azure we have something called Azure Data pipelines, which are conceptually similar to SSIS. We can create a flow diagram to copy data between your Azure databases.
