Mistake Number 1: Not understanding your responsibility as Captain of the Endeavor
Without a well-thought-out and clearly written business plan your business is headed for the rocks. Like trying to navigate at sea with no bearing or visibility, your craft will almost certainly drift from its good course and veer toward some rocky shore—typically as you navigate some financial or organizational storm. As the good sea Captain your are, you must have a well-defined strategic vision, direction, and contingency plans already in place before you depart the safety of your current port. Ultimately, you MUST know the actions you will be taking while at sea before the storms and challenges and ongoing provisionals are upon you. In business there is more than you might think necessary to turn your envisioned goals into realities. During your voyage, you will grow as a Captain in ways you never imagined. Amazingly too, you will help others to grow in their prospective capacities. Entrepreneurship is the adventure that gets more exciting all the time as you navigate your ship called Endeavor!
