Use Betfair API with Excel/VBA

What I want to do is accessing the Betfair API through Excel/VBA. I have some basic understanding of VBA and run my betting systems on Excel spreadsheets with macros. What I need to do now is loading market information into Excel and - depending on the market information and my own betting systems - placing bets. Additionally I need to load account information into Excel. I'm aware that there is a lot of stuff on the Betfair Developers Program forum and that the sample spreadsheets there essentially provide what I need. But hey, I'm not a programmer and hence I don't really understand how to use that stuff. That's why I'm here.... So the project is probably more teaching (via Skype) rather than programming. What you need to do is: ***Make the Betfair API functions available for me in Excel/VBA. In particular, enable me to loading active markets and prices into a spreadsheet, placing bets and loading account statement information into a spreadsheet. Whether the latter is achieved through explaining me how to use the sample spreadsheet or by providing your own code is up to you.*** ## Deliverables * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Tuesday May 10, 2011 4:31:46 AM: In response to some inquiries I decided to further specify the deliverables of my project. There are three deliverables. 1. Spreadsheet A (account statement): This spreadsheet will download the account statement information from Betfair for a specified time span for multiple accounts. A time stamp of the latest download must be stored. The spreadsheet must be adjustable to the following parameters: a. List of Betfair accounts to be downloaded b. Account statement fields to be stored c. Time span 2. Spreadsheet B (placing bets): This spreadsheet will download market information for a selection of (soccer) markets. The information should encompass everything that is visible on the normal Betfair web interface (i.e. best three prices with volumes) plus the scheduled kick-off time. Then there needs to be a function to place bets, obviously with the possibility to set prices and stakes. Once a bet is placed the spreadsheet needs to download information about the status of the bets. The spreadsheet needs to have the following functionality: a. Adding/removing markets (e.g. via pop-up) b. Set frequency of market-information updates (in dependence of time to kick-off) c. Set all available parameters for placing a bet 3. Education/Teaching: You need to teach me about the Betfair API in general and about how to access it via Excel/VBA in particular. I need this for further projects that will have more functionalities than the two spreadsheets mentioned above. I’ve read and for the most part understood the API documentation but lack the skills to access the functions. Ideally you provide me with a DLL of all functions and a way to use them via VBA (if I understand it correctly such a DLL is already freely available from the sample spreadsheets). I expect part 3 to take about five hours at max. The following is mandatory: a. A Skype account with cam and stable broadband connection b. Reasonable command of English or German c.
