Pineapple I'm an experienced PHP developer. I created several web scrapers for various clients. Some of them were quite complex. One such web scraper I created was for OLX site of Indonesia. They implemented a JavaScript script which creates a unique cookie on client side which get sent to there server in order to verify that a real human is using there site. I had to implement the same functionality in my web scraper in order to fool them that a human is accessing there website. Coming up with a solution for that problem took me few days. I'll try my best to create a web scraper for you. Some websites are just too complicated to scrape using a web scraper like for example LinkedIn. But other sites can be scraped by implementing some trick to fool them into believing that a real human is using it. Pineapple I propose to build you a scraper for the list of sites you want monitored. They will be accessed over Tor so that accesses are completely anonymous - you can also use specified VPNs or proxy servers based on a text config file. The scraper will periodically (at intervals you choose) check the websites, compare the md5 hash of the page with previous accesses and determine if there has been a change - if there has been, it will run a diff between the current page and the previously saved page to show you what has changed. I will use python (requests + selenium web driver) and Gevents to multiplex the scraping, thus making the task take the shortest possible time. You will have extensive logging and log analysis included to see what happened and where. I have had extensive experience in developing large scale web-scraping infrastructure in python, node.js, meteor. I have mostly built open source software. This project can be delivered in 4 days or less.
