We have a "client-server" application written in RedHat Linux 7.2, currently configured and running on the server and clients.
We want to eliminate the hard-drives from the client computers and have a "master" client hard disk (or image?) reside on the server so that the clients can run from diskless workstations.
Each client needs to have a fixed IP (private) pre-configured address and some other configuration parameters.
Currently the client motherboard supports boot from LAN, has 512MB RAM, the Ethernet cards we are using, Realtek 8139D(L) support 128K Boot ROM for both EPROM and Flash Memory.
We are looking for guidance in setting up and configuring these clients to be diskless workstations.
