241649 Certificate Creation

I need a way to generate a certificate from jpg image that will have a event date on it and students name. We were going to do this as PDF but the cost of a pdf lib is to expensive. So we are seeking a new way to do this. I am thinking with the GD library an image can have the students name and event date put on it, so the student can download/print it. So what I need is a system were we can upload a template certificate. We will need an admin where we enter an event name and are able to enter a list of student names for each event. A page is generated for each event that lists student names.. when the student clicks on the event name .. he finds a list of all students in that event. He find his name and when he clicks on the link.. the system would generate the certificate for him with his name and the event namme on it... that he can then download and print. I am open to suggestions. There will be a few events running at once sometimes, so the system needs to allow for multiple events to be setup. The outputed list of events/students should be able to incorporate in to our sites design easily. I would create the template for teh events page and student list.
