In this project, what I'm looking for is to take an existing WordPress comments/link submission plugin that allows the attachment of images, and to customize it...
The posting form will have to have four fields (parameters) in total:
1. Title.
2. A URL field for a link.
3. A URL field for an image link.
4. A category dropdown selection list.
The customizations to the plugin are as follows:
1. Only registered and logged-in users can post a comment.
2. Any comment reply buttons or other default WP comment features other than the ones mentioned above must be disabled.
3. The three latest comments posted by a user have to be remembered (title, both urls, and the category chosen), and be selectable for that user upon his next visit, near the comments form - so when the user clicks on one of the three. the comments form is immediately auto-filled with the four parameters described above.
4. In field 2 and 3 - the url fields, only specified domains must be allowed, otherwise no comment will be posted. Also an image size, format, and dimensions restriction is needed.
5. Any user can post a comment only once every specified amount of time.
6. The comments output template will have a thumbnail from the image specified and the specified title both linking to the specified url link. The category won't show and will be for internal use only.
7. A Captcha is needed for the comment posting process.
8. Please reply with the word jargon if you bid or send a message to me, so I know that you read through.
9. And an ability to use an existing WP word-filter plugin for the comment fields.
I think some of these requirements already exist in WP and it's plugins, like #1, #4, #6, #7, #9 and the parameters. So maybe you could base your work on that.
#5 must be customizable, so I can change it's value at any time.
For #3, comments older than a certain amount of time will be deleted - also needs to be customizable.
These are three plugins that you could use, but please, if you know a better plugin for the job - might not even be a comments plugin per se - please tell me;
