APE (Ajax Push Engine ) Alert for Notification

At the moment our game website use a lot of Ajax polling, we want to change this to Ajax push. Looking around at different engines we feel the best one would be [login to view URL] because they use jQuery. What do we need: 1. new message notification 2. new invite notification 3. update their protection when somebody hits them online A way of adding more when needed. The process we think needs to be done: When something is updated server side for example messages sent it pushes to the relevant browser user, then updates a tag on the page notifying him he has one new message.
