Web component for Reading Client System Memory

I need a component that will be able to read and display the memory ( available, and expandability ) within a web page **Technology** - * Java Applet -* ( this is my 1st preference ) ,* * - or - .Net WebForms * - ( this is my 2nd preference )*, * - or - ActiveX ( not MFC ) *- ( this is my least favorite approach )* **Required Features** Component will interrogate system hardware on client machine and generate report showing * Model and make of system and motherboard CPU * Total RAM Memory * How many occupied memory slots are in machine * How much memory in each chip * Who is the manufacturer of existing memory chip (s) * How many empty slots are there for additional capacity? * What kind of RAM chips? * DDR or SDR * Speed of RAM chips 100 or 133 for SDR, 266 or 333 for DDR * Who is the manufacturer of existing memory chip (s) * How many empty slots are there for additional capacity? **Desired Features ( not required )** * Return information to variables for use in VB Script or JavaScript **Assumptions** * The end-user will be working on an MS Windows Intel based machine. No need to worry about Mac's, Unix, etc * If necessary ( for ActiveX solution ) we can also assume that the end-user will be running Internet Explorer ( it would be preferable not to make this assumption, but if necessary it is a compromise I can accept if known in advance. **Your Experience ** Please let me know with your bid * Are you confident this is feasible ( I haven't myself done any research to know that the information is 100% available by code ) * Do you know how to do it have you done a similar project before ( not necessarily in a web component - if you have built EXE to read memory details this is good background for web project. * How long do you think this project will take you ? **Testing ** * Please let me know what testing you include in your bid. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform ALL 32 bit versions of Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP
