Download from Microchip web site the TCP/IP stack and porting it to earlier chip PIC18F452. Download the C compiler and assembler also from Microchip web site. Microchip freely download TCP/IP library has change beyond its earlier design that supports 18F452 chip with RealTek ethernet controller. The version 1 and version 2 support 18F452 chip. The current code can be found here: [login to view URL] Current version has fixed many bugs from older version but use Microchip's its own ethernet controller. The ethernet controller is similar to Realtek one with some optimization. I like to have someone help porting this current version back to the 18F4520 with RealTek chip. Current version using a newer PIC chip with build-in ethernet controller. 18F452 chip uses external realtek eithernet controller. 18F4520 chip and 18F452 chips are identical in pin layout and function, just 4520 use less power than 452. For person who had been working on this TCP/IP stack before, they know probably only one file to be modified to get the source compiled for different chip(define chip I/O, etc in one of the C source file). For people who has not been working on this before, it is a big effort.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
microchip's microcontroller PIC18F4520 w/ realtek ethernet controller. Could consider PIC18F4620, if that is necessary.
