I just completed a very similar project. I was taking gps coordinates and generating KML file (that you then can display via google maps). I can show it to you over skype. so what I will need to do in your app is to record gps locations as the car is moving. then generate Kml (along with distance travelled, etc.). then you can display this kml via google maps in your application where you need. I will put a detailed requirements document together before accepting the project so that we both are absolutely clear how this will work and what expectayions are.
