My name is Joe Lapsansky. I currently reside in West Cleveland, Ohio with my wife, Gina. We were engaged back in May of 2016 and married last year. For our one year anniversary, I would like to gift her a sketched picture of our engagement moment. I asked her to marry me at sunset on the west patio at the Biltmore house in Asheville, North Carolina. I am looking for a local artist to capture the moment on pencil and paper so that I can frame it and give it to her for the "paper" anniversary. I have included images from the day as well as a bird's eye view with labels describing how I want the sketch done. You can tell from the attachment that I would like it done from the vantage point of the west side window facing westward at us and the sunset. It should display me on one knee, but from about an 80-100 yard distance (distance between us and the window). Therefore, you do not need to see us that well in the sketch - more just an image of a proposal and the background from a distance. Please let me know if interested in completing the project. I would ideally like to meet in person and see part of the sketch happen so that I can offer some feedback along the way. I really appreciate the help with making this a special first anniversary. Hello Joe, My proposal will probably surprise you, but please keep reading. I am not local, but I might not need to be! First, I regularly update my clients with still-in-progress drawings / paintings (skype, fb, etc.) and get their feedback in. Second, you might send me a photo of that exact location and I'll do all the fixing you mentioned (sun position) while drawing from it. Hi Joe. I've read the project and I loved it, I think this kind of gifts are really special to memorized a date. I saw the pictures below and I know that I can capture the moment when you asked to marry you in that amazing location. I'm an architect, and my daily work is as an illustrator. Actually I'm studying a master in plastic art, I use different techniques like watercolor, oil in paper (not in canvas), ink and acrylic. All of my illustrations are in paper, not other backing. If you want to see my work you can find my in instagram as @monicaleviv. I've been making illustrations to other countries, so what I do is send the paint by certified mail into a folder. I'd love to make that romantic project. (Sorry for spelling mistakes :P)
