Customise Ubermenu Behaviour Using API - Repost - repost

I am creating a website using Wordpress The menu is based on the UberMenu plugin it is vertical and in flyout mode. I want the menu to be persistent. a. Essential: When click on a 3rd level menu the content page is selected but the submenus stay open and show the current page. b. Desirable: When click on a top level menu or 2nd level menu the associated submenu toggles on/off. c. Essential: Written instructions on how the implementation was done so that I can support / reapply the changes if any updates to the site cause the function to stop working.
