Website generated emails stuck in badmail queue on Windows server, SMTP problems

My Windows server is not sending emails that are generated by my website hosted on the server, SMTP may be set up wrongly, Originally the server wasn't set up for smtp so I followed this [login to view URL] and set it up then all mail ended up in the mailroot queue file. I also added telnet to the server myself I don’t know if either is set up properly, so will need checking. I also attempted to open port 25 we may need to open 587 There is a file within the site files called the emailhelper which may need editing I had a freelancer look at it for me but he went quiet. Can someone help this is urgent as my clients are not receiving important emails from my website.

Have you checked that the domain you are sending is setup properly? For example is you send, say from [login to view URL] ( bogus domain) gmail, yahoo, etc will reject you as a spammer
