Application under Windows that uses HID usb

Hello, I need someone experienced with usb under the Windows platform. I need to communicate to a device by HID. I need to read and send reports. Platform: Visual Studio on Windows, no special drivers or libraries, only Windows APIs. What I want is: -To get the code to use the incoming data reports from the device - To be able to send data reports to the device - A sample program to be able to see the results (display reports in a simple GUI) - The program must work on Window XP and later and on 32 and 64 bit version - I need a robust and reliable program Thank you
