I grew up in Canada and did my entire formal education in English. I have a Bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from the University of Toronto. At present, I continue to do plenty of writing and editing in English, particularly in scientific writing because I am in the thesis year of my Master's degree in Science. From September 2014 - June 2015, I took courses in Epidemiology and Public Health, Toxicology, Genotoxicology, Mutagenesis and Carcinogenesis, Medical Biotechnology so all these topics are fresh in my mind and highly relevant for understanding and editing the clinical paper.
Finally, I have an intermediate level of French since I have been living in Brussels for almost 3 years and have taken intensive classes previously. I understand that the clinical paper has been written in English, however, I firmly believe my language skills in French may help in terms of communication and interpretation. For the reasons above, I think I am a suitable candidate for the job.
