Advice on software crack protection(repost)

The trial version of my software (made in Delphi) has been cracked and several crack patches are currently available. I want to protect my software so 1) the current crack patches doesn't work any longer 2) it will be very difficult to crack it again 3) every time I upload a new build of my software, any crackpatches that might have been made, will no longer work. There are many solutions available out there and it is a jungle. As my product was released last year, I already have made the serial number structure and the handling of the trial period expiration (by entering the serial number the trial limitations are removed). _I do not want to change the serial number system_ now, and therefore I currently do not need the "whole package" as offered by many of the solutions above (i.e. where the trial limitations are removed by entering an encryption key). I suppose this limitation will make the software easier to crack?, but as I upload a new build every month, I hope that we can find a solution that will keep the crackers one step behind all the time. You can see my software product on this page: [[login to view URL]][9] ## Deliverables 1) I need competent advice how to protect my software against crackers in the best way so the 3 points mentioned above will be fulfilled - without changing the serial number system. 2) The solution could be to choose one of the mentioned commercial products, or other products I don't know of, or other solutions. The suggested solution must however have a reasonable price. 3) My software is used by inexperienced computer users all over the world, so it is important that the solution is stable on all Windows versions (see platform specs) and foolproof. If possible, the user should not see any difference at all when the crack protection is added to the trial version. 4) I can imagine that the cracker networks have instructions about how to break the most commonly used software protections products. So it is not necessarily the product that has the best protection methods that offers the best protection in the end. 5) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and newer
