IONIC/PhoneGAP Build - update local JSON file with newer remote version

This is a simple project that is split into two parts to sync a remote JSON file with an Ionic PhoneGAP build app. To allow me to reject generic bids, I have some instructions on what to submit with your bid below. If you don't follow this, then your bid will be rejected. TASK ONE: • We will have a JSON file on a server. Very simple with some text strings. • One version of these files will come pre-packaged with the app. On the first screen, the app should display the contents of this JSON file. • On the second screen, if the app is able to connect to the internet and remote server, it should compare the timestamp (just a JSON field) of the remote file with the local version. If the remote file is newer, then it should update the local version. This updated version will always have the same file name, same JSON structure, but some of the text content will be different. • This means that the next time the app is opened, it should automatically use the newer version of the file, even if there is no connection to the internet. That is very important – the app should be updated for all future use and NOT simply use the remote file each time. TASK TWO: • To demonstrate this, I would like a third screen that displays content from a another simple JSON file. • There will be a button on this screen which downloads the newer JSON file (same process as above. ) • The page would then display the content of the newer file. • When I navigate to the other screens within the app and return to this third screen, it will display the contents of the newer file that was just downloaded. • It will only update again when I click that button. This means that I can update the remote file – but the changes are only visible when I click the update button. The app must be IONIC and I will be testing it through PhoneGAP Build on an iPhone and Android device. The design of the app doesn’t matter, but should just be able to demonstrate that the functionality works. As its a small project and I am expecting only experienced Ionic developers to bid, there will just be 1 milestone payment once the demo app is complete.
