Design for a travel website

For the contest, only FRONT PAGE and TIP PAGE designs are required as samples. The winner of the contest will be designing the layout for the travel website. The total number of sites is approximately 6 but the theme and background for all pages will be the same as on the frontpage. The design needs to be unique, professional & classy but still kind of "comfortable&interesting". There are some pictures for inspiration in the attached files. The background must not bee too dominant. If you decide to participate, ask for the link to the page and I will provide you. Some sites where you can get inspiration from: <[login to view URL]> <[login to view URL]> <[login to view URL]> <[login to view URL]> ## Deliverables **The site:** The site is a new kind of travel website structured around a map user interface. Tips & Destinations are pinned on the map. User can browse the map and select what categories he/she wishes to see on the map. Using the "Idea pictures" user can generate travel ideas for his area of interest. Under the map, is a list of recently added spots. FRONT PAGE This together with the Tip page are the main pages where the action happens. The user will browse the content on the map click to his places of interest. Please note that also the small tip preview window should be included in the design. The vertical order of the items on the page needs to be kept (1. Idea pictures 2. Category selection 3. Map 4. List of content). The size of the idea pictures and the map must also be kept (see the picture example). TIP PAGE This page must look exactly like the front page in the upper part but the lower part under the map needs to be redesigned. There will have to be a larger picture, picture thumbnails, text section and comments (see the picture example). Take a careful look at the pictures attached that include instructions & inspiration.
