I am British so have no problem understanding the accent when it is fast, and have transcribed audio for my previous job in administration quickly and accurately. My favourite Shakespeare play is 'Macbeth' because of the way it deals with fate and guilt, both themes I found deeply interesting. I also was surprised how much I enjoyed 'Henry IV, Part I' when I studied it at A level. I'd never read one of the histories before, but found it really engaging.

I am a technical author by profession. As a result I am a quick typist, an MS Word expert and very keen on quality control. I would like very much to give audio transcription a go. I have lived in the UK for 6 years now and work in an office where my boss is Welsh, my lunch mate is an Essex girl, my two main colleagues are Indian and Chinese, and the receptionist is Scottish. I'm prettyr sure I can handle any British accent - fast or not. As for Shakespeare plays, I love Macbeth for the drama and the strong female lead. It's also the only one I have seen performed live. Out of the comedies, I like Much Ado About Nothing the best because like Beatrice I was born to speak all mirth and no matter! I hope you will consider me for the job but even if you don't, thanks for posting an intelligent job posting. Makes such a nice change from all the garbage out there!
