Write some Software for controll LED Screens

Hi, I am software developer with large experience in kiosk type of systems, running dedicated software and interacting with users. Can you share more details about your hardware, what OS will you have, what kind of information should user see, do they need to interact with it (is your screen touch capable)?

Hello, my name is George Bouris. I suppose that with the term "mini PC" you mean a small computer, that runs Windows. However, although this approach is possible, in my opinion, you should consider using one of the many SBCs that run Linux. They are powerful, provide a lot of open source software and are very cheap. Also, I think that the best approach is to let the users computer to perform all the heavy work (the preparation of the image/text to be displayed) and submit it to the small computer ready to be sent to the Led screen. A service that runs in the background will constantly check the folder with the incoming data and, when a new file arrives, it sends it to the screen.

Do you have any micro controller to communicate with led display and computer?. if there is then you only need a web application that can communicate with the micro processor. But if you dont have that you ll need application for that first then web application that can be accessed through internet to use by clients. Message me to discuss about it.

Need More info on what platform the server will run windows/linux/mac. Also Does this project involves making the website that you mentioned ? Also if it is then need details of the website too. One more thing how the connection of the LED screen is with the computer will it be connected over network or directly connected via some physical communication medium ?

I have created a similar solution 10 years ago. The principals are still the same. I have experience from both operation and development. I suggest two options. Option 1: Webserver and a client opening a browser to the webpage with refresh mechanisms. Option 2: Webserver with json api. Client running av desktop application(WPF - Windows presentation foundation) showing the text. Both options based on ASP.NET serverside. Recommendation will be given when further information is given. Such as client type.
