Hi there, Your requirements are quite clear and straightforward to implement. Normally, I would suggest to use builtin azure monitoring services, e.g log analytics, and then feed the data to event hub to be dispatched to any subscriber from there. However, azure is not exposing these events within activity log context. Community has been requesting this for quite some time but with no luck. So instead of subscribing to monitoring services to be notified for these like one would do for other metrics we have to constantly poll the azure api for both provisioning and power states of vms. The interval of the polling might be modified easily depending on your exact requirements in this regard. Anyway, per your request I'll use py3 and azure function to implement this. I'll use my azure environment to develop and test the whole thing. Then I'll deliver it with the instructions to deploy it on your end, thanks.
