I need you to write a report for something. Select 3 asset classes (without initially conducting any analysis) that you feel might potentially provide the benefits sought by the client. However, please note that you will need to gain access to an extensive time series of the returns/performance of your selected asset classes to conduct subsequent sections of the project. In particular, you will need to make sure that 14 years of historical returns data is available (from start 2003 to end 2016) for any asset class you select. Your report should outline why these asset classes could potentially lead to the benefits sought by the client. Please note: there are no correct asset classes or combinations of asset classes and the choice is completely yours, you just need to justify why they might prove beneficial. You should also briefly describe the composition and constituents of the asset class you have selected. Therefore you will need to do some background research on the asset class/market index you have chosen. 3. Calculate historical risk and returns for the client’s investment in the ISEQ Overall Index. You will be provided with the data for this analysis after Stage One along with additional guidance on how to conduct the analysis. Taking all 4 of your suggested asset classes, calculate an efficient frontier allowing your 4 asset classes to take any portfolio weighting from 0 to 100%. Carefully explain and interpret the results from this analysis. Demonstrate to the client how this form of diversification may be of benefit 4. Based on your knowledge of the client, but keeping in mind the limited extent of the analysis you have conducted, make some recommendations as to an appropriate investment strategy and resulting asset allocations. 5. Also based on historical data, you will need to conduct an analysis of performance of the portfolio you have selected for the client.
