Cognito seems a good choice from your side, the connect part is an overhead part for people not familiar with it :) but it won't be a problem for me. The other part from the technical side seems like simple logic using CRUDS, we would need to discuss the logic together and it won't be a problem at all. I can build reusable react components so you won't spend much time to maintain it ... (reusability of components will be a bonus too)
