I joined this site recently and am coming to grips with the bidding process, which is clearly difficult if you do not know the size of the task to begin with. Judging by the average "duration" of bids, not many understand it fully, either.
I have indicated 21 days, being the time I estimate it would take me to edit a manuscript of 30,000 to 40,000 words (full content edit) with commensurate compensation.
My second name is "Thorough", not "Speedy". I have a lifetime experience in copy-writing , advertising and editing, having been awarded the President's Award by The Cape Friends of Calligraphy as well as The Golden Web Award for content and creativity.
Your project, particularly, has attracted me. The last book I edited was Science Fiction (fantasy blended with philosophy). The author had the good grace to credit me thus: "Special thanks to my Editor for his patience and perseverance." He has entered it for the BookLife Fiction Prize. Hopefully, you too will have something kind to say about me in the not too distant future.
I have also published my own "paranormal" biography and am currently writing my magnus opus, an epic, historic novel.
I am willing to let you have sight of these works, on request. They serve as references.
I do not undertake more than 2 projects per month.
Looking forward to beginning my online editing career, with enthusiasm and integrity.
