Hi, I have developed software for over 20 years, and have lots of experience with most web-related technologies, both server-side and client-side, including HTML, Javascript, JSON, XML, SQL databases, etc. Over the years, I have scraped hundreds of sites using many different technologies for various projects. Your request is quite straightforward. I have a few questions though: - do you want the script to run on your own server, or do you prefer a turn-key solution where I would host this for you, and you just receive a daily e-mail with the data? - in the first case, do you have any requirements in terms of operating system, language, framework, etc? My usual language for this is perl, with a few add-on modules, but I can do php, Javascript (node.js) and probably others if required. - in the latter case, there would be a small fee for hosting the script, but I would include updates to the script to match any changes to the site (which, by experience, is not a matter of "if" but "when"). - just to confirm, you want only the name, without the numbers before or after? - for confirmation as well, you don't want the name or number of the race either?
