Hi, My name is Richard and I am from New Zealand. If all goes well, we will meet in the Cricket ODI finals next weekend. I have extensive experience in PHP on both Windows and *nix environment, and have done conversions from MySQL to MSSQL, mostly of the regular variety not involving MySQL functions - those are special and require more care (and effort). Assuming your PHP app is just the run of the mill variety, it will take me 5-10 hours of real work to 1. analyse the data and script, 2. convert the database, 3. generate scripts and create a SQL Server database, 4. make appropriate changes to PHP connection library and data types, 5. test, test, test, 6. make final code changes as required But please allow for 3-5 days for me to complete the job as things may crop up and I only freelance nights. p/s - If your MySQL database contains user-created functions, then the cost is going to be $X-per-function to convert. Greetings. It is just a matter of some configurations in both sides. Can you provide the PHP version of your server, please? Why? There are some restrictions with version 5.3. I have experience in setting up this kind of environment, although never got a similar job here. Hint: make sure you have an user with "SQL SERVER authentication" who has rights to connect. Regards.
