My old web host lost my SQL database, so I switched providers to a new host. I have been able to restore my Wordpress site with the latest version of Wordpress and have been able to restore all of my previous files from the theme I was using, as well as the files which contained some custom PHP code and CSS. Now the only thing to do is get the site back to the way it was. Since I lost my database, I'll have to re-create all the posts, but thats not a problem for me... however, I will need help on getting the site structure (edits to the look and behavior) back so I can begin plugging back in the content. You can see how the site is right now at: [login to view URL] The files and code to do all this stuff are all already there... it just needs to all be linked back together. ? Please see the attached document for everything that needs to be done. There are 5 things described in the list. ? ## Deliverables Here are the things that need to be done: ? 1. Along the bottom, the "Sitemap" "Terms of Service" "Privacy Policy" and "Disclaimer" need linked to pages that are not accessible from the top menu bar. The old links were in the format of /about/sitemap, /about/privacy-policy, etc. Also, these pages are pages that do NOT have the right sidebar on them, but rather ones that contain all the content within a table (I think it was 700 pixels wide) that goes the entire length of the site dimensions. ? 2. The right sidebar's sections should read (from top to bottom) : ? Must Reads - content under this is any page that I add under the "Must Reads" section, which are essentially pages that have had the right sidebar removed and all content within the 700 px table (as described above)? The "Must Reads" pages are my sales pages and need the entire width of the column. Also there is a custom CSS file that was created for use on the Must Reads pages that needs to be linked back. ? Top Stories - an organization of the 5 most popular posts. Since the "Popularity Contest" plugin isn't yet compatible with Wordpress 2.5 (last time I checked) this one might prove difficult to get back for now. ? Topics - the categories listing ? Archives - the archives dates list ? Subscribe to My RSS Feed - The listing from the subscribe-me plugin. ? Search - A little site search box ? 3. The top menu bar's categories should be (from left to right) : ? Home - obvious About - a page that HAS the right sidebar Archives - archives list - has the right sidebar Contact - a page that uses a cforms instance - has the right sidebar FAQ - a page that has the right sidebar Must Reads - pages created under this section do NOT have the right sidebar (as described above with the 700 px table container) ... the reason for this is that these are sales pages and need all the room for content formatting they can get. ? 4. The fourth and final thing that was set up is: ? Right now you see a big opt-in banner right below the top menu bar... (that is a very successful one, by the way)... but since I don't want it to display for people who have already signed up, I had it rigged? to where? a cookie gets placed on? their computer if they hit either the "already subscribed" page or the "thank you" page for subscribing (they are both php? files and should still work fine)... then if the cookie is found on their computer, the site will NOT? display the banner signup graphic at all, and will instead show a signup box over on the right sidebar (just in case there was a mistake or something, they can still sign up over there) ... Also, the site was designed to show them the signup banner 5 times before it would automatically move? the signup? box over to the sidebar. (all of this I just described can be seen from the code in the files on the Theme Editor) ? 5. (this one is new, and was not in the original site before the server went down) ? I want to switch the signup banner to something less graphical that loads quicker. I want it to say and do the same things, but just be text. A good example of exactly how this is done can be found on the site [login to view URL] - I originally got this signup box idea from him (and it works great) but recently he has switched to one that is based on text... and also has a better submit button now. ? Anyway, that's what it would take to get the site back up to par.
