Website Design and Coding for Home Staging Company

We are seeking an experience web developer to design, develop and deploy a website for a small business (a homestaging and interior redesign company). The company's website is presently listed at [[login to view URL]][1], which is a Microsoft Live environment. We have been dissatisfied with this service as it does not provide the flexibility that we desire. It also does not display the site well in Firefox or on a Mac (with Safari). Ideally, we would like to use an open source content management system to administer the site, though this is not a hard requirement. We are looking for guidance on best practices for building the site. We also own [[login to view URL]][2], which is the domain that we would like to use for this deployment. This domain is presently parked with 1and1 ([login to view URL]). We are willing to move to new web hosting provider if cost effective and recommended. Site should be fully packaged and set up on 1and1 or alternate provider as part of delivery. It should be easy to create web-ready images (that is with proper resolution) by uploading digital images.
