We are seeking an innovative Web Master with an eye for detail to refine, maintain, and help search optimize our two sister websites. We just signed a two year contract with one of the largest SEO firms, Bruce Clay Inc., and this person will be interacting with them daily to implement their advice. The ideal candidate will grow into a leadership role and give strategic direction on hosting and server management, site maintenance, site promotion, usability, navigation, search engine optimization, link exchanges, and more. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, and who truly shares our passion for alternative health. SEE DELIVERABLES FOR REMAINING DESCRIPTION ## Deliverables We are looking for a long-term working relationship; this role will start out on a contract basis with tremendous growth opportunity. Here’s a brief description of this role: •Manage and update content of websites while maintaining current visual image •Work daily with Bruce Clay, Inc. and become extremely proficient in SEO •Post blogs, podcasts, and more daily with Movable Type and must have expert knowledge of MT •Monitor site traffic and scale site capacity to meet traffic demands •Perform backups and ensure user accessibility to the sites •Implement upgrades and improvements to the websites to support the server •Be able to grow into a strategic role with the ability to translate visitor behavior into an improved information experience and/or real-time sales •Work 25-30 hrs/week Our ideal candidate: •BS degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of web development experience, design is a plus but technical proficiency is more important. •Skilled with HTML/XHTML, PHP 5, CSS, MySQL, PERL modules, and JavaScript and must have expert proficiency in blogs, Movable Type, and how to manage a dedicated server (Apache). •Experience with cross platform browser support •Interested in web promotion, Google Analytics, and search engine optimization •Experience in Google AdWords and tracking ROI is a plus •Enjoys being part of a small team and has great verbal and written communication skills •Excellent strategic planning, troubleshooting, and project management skills •Experience with customized shopping carts •The ideal candidate will have a passion for natural health too!
