Simple website from scratch, with a start page including name of site, gray background, contact link to email, 8 captioned cover thumbnails linking to 8 thumbnail galleries, with a total of about 160 jpegs, 160MB,. Cover thumbnails arranged in 2 rows, 4 each, first row titled Paintings, second row titled Photographs. Arial font for captions.
Title top left on each gallery, gray background, thumbnails to open jpegs sized 800 pixels on the longer axis (e.g. 800x450, 300x800, etc.) on neutral gray background. No borders, slideshows, transitions, etc.
AND... Absolutely idiot-proof directions for adding and subtracting images and galleries in exactly the same format. That is, instructions that a first-grader could follow. No comprehension of FTP clients or servers should be assumed.
On the bright side, no directions for image sizing, web colors, watermarks, etc, are necessary. That much I can take care of.
I have a basic website from Godaddy, I can't even get through the first step of the tutorial (I get a gray square where the tutorial says a chart of FTP options should be.)
