I have over 8 years experience of doing offshore development…I started with India in 96. Over 10+ years experience of doing software projects including high end complex browser based applications. My technology expertise includes systems, architecture, networking and development. In other words I am not a small business owner who knows nothing about technology. I am looking for great developer(s) who can help me launch the site/software and if it is successful work full time on it. Please do not send me any marketing blurb about how good your company is…I am sure that it is, but I will just throw it away. For a project like this, it is the skills, knowledge and experience of the developer(s) that counts. This is not my first startup, I have been the technology lead for 2 previous startups. I am on the East coast of USA, so while I can work with India it is easier with Eastern European countries because of the time difference. What we are looking for. You are Developer(s) who have reached the level experience where you can just write code like talking a language. You understand the Internet culture and space. In-depth knowledge across the whole technology spectrum, eg. Database, OS Admin, Development, QA. Have completed database driven sites that can scale exponentially. You need Fluent English Fast Internet connection, preferably broadband. Why ? Because we will be having a lot of VoIP chat. Experience in building a browser based functional site, do you understand that the best way is to use a prototyping or spiral approach,eg. build small parts and get them working. A Waterfall approach is slow and does not work. (If you do not understand these terms, do not reply to this!!) This project will require the developer(s) to be working full time and putting in the hours to get the site to market.
