Create a login page with a given API

We currently have a API that we need to create a form login to. The only problem we have is that we need to write a PHP code that checks if the login succeed or if it fails. The API will give a 201 (see the end of details) when the username or password is incorrect, and then needs to redirect back to the login page again, so that they don't just get the error page on the api side. The same thing needs to be done with a forgot password API. To clarify: -Two API connections and all need to be written in PHP. -On the first API the php code needs to check if succeeded or not, and if not redirect back to login page. -On the second API the php code needs to check if forgot password link is sent or not, and display the success or fail on the forgot password page, and not redirect to the API itself.
