Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the development of our vast backend platform, consisting in numerous API and services.  You will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of several components inside our API ecosystem using architectures that support scalable, highly available and resilient systems. These API services will be used across web, mobile, tablets and other devices and 3rd parties. This position is not for a language-centric engineer. Initial project will be in Java but development might continue in Scala, Go or even PHP (depending on candidate’s skills, there is enough code to cover). What you will be doing: Designing and developing products ensuring code readability, maintainability, high availability and scalability. Making technical decisions for the short and long term balancing product delivery with long-term run and maintenance.  Designing and developing code using the best practices and tools Mentoring other engineersRequirements: 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in software development Deep experience in designing RESTful APIs and micro-services. TDD mindset Used to develop asynchronous services. Messaging queues. Experience with concurrent programming Strong development and technical skills in Java/J2EE, JSP. Proficient at several other coding languages or willing to learn new ones such asGo or Scala. Strong knowledge of Linux Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related studies It will be highly valued if you have: Solid experience working on Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
