Business Plan for Titanium Dioxide pigment distribution in Indonesia

I represent an international trading and distribution company which is active in many different businesses across Asia, such as printing consumables, plants and equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, non destructive testing systems, shoe manufacturing lines, thermoforming and sheet extrusion equipment for the plastic industry, technologies for the production of pulp and paper. We would like to look into the distribution of titanium dioxide pigments in the Indonesian market, but we have no experience in the distribution of chemical products and raw materials. We are very unsure whether we can utilize our locally based existing commercial structure for this new business even if they are involved in some of the segments were the titanium dioxide pigment is utilized (pharma,paper,printing,plastics for example). Our Indonesian commercial structure core competency is sales of machinery and equipment and the customer for the pigments are in most cases upstream in the supply chain and we do not always have direct access to them. We would probably need to create a new special division which requires skilled men power and distribution capability and this could be a big investment. We are a solid company with decades of business experience in the Indonesian market and we do have some warehousing capability which could be used as a logistic center for the pigments which we would import. What we need is a solid business plan (including financial estimations on investments,revenue, costs etc) to understand if it makes sense for our Indonesian subsidiary, which is a small/medium sized company, to pursue this business opportunity.
