Convert existing .net asp ms sql site [login to view URL] to joomla1.7 with as near as possible same design - client is an artist and very picky about changing the way the site looks. She does want these changes in addition to the conversion from MS:
So sorry I wasn't able to communicate this to you sooner, but I have finally had some time to put some thought into changes for my site and how important the changes are.
Make each gallery in the Galleries page collapsible
On the art pages within each gallery, put the thumbnails in a scrolling horizontal line above the artwork (probably that would also mean relocating the breadcrumb trail, maybe to below the artwork details near the bottom left of each image. the text of the breadcrumb trail would have to wrap if placed there)
The ability to move art between galleries in batches
Easier to upload thumbnails--why can't these be uploaded in the same UI as the rest of the images?
Better rendering in Firefox--at this point, the Andrea Bonifacio name appears up in the top right above the other menu buttons
Easier to make changes--an HTML editor that doesn't mess up link colors, makes it easier to select font sizes, etc.
A better way to link to my blog
High priority/must have would be 3, 4 and 6. Part of the reason I don't do much with the site is because it's such a pain to work with. I want to do some restructuring to highlight certain series and de-emphasize others, but I don't want to have to move the images around one at a time. Drag and drop capability would be best, if it's available. Regarding editing page content, right now it's very hit-and-miss--I have to try things and test and try and test, rather than the HTML edit page showing me exactly what the page looks like before I click save. Overall, site updates are very labor-intensive and I know they don't have to be.
Medium priority/really want asap would be 2 and 5. 2 especially.
At the moment, I'm not writing new entries. I would rather get some of these other items done first (unless this is actually quite easy to accomplish from your perspective). But I can see 7 becoming a much higher priority once I start blogging again, so if there's an easy way to architect that, we should set it up now rather than wait until later.
