Recover working MOV files from RAW data files (SD Card Crash)

Several weeks ago, I was filming video for a TV project. We were shooting on a Canon 60D, which uses SD cards. Before transferring the contents onto an external drive, we attempted to play a video directly off the card (on my laptop, which has a built-in card reader). The computer cited it could not play the MOV file because of a missing codec (which wasn't true, because I routinely play MOV files on that computer - and have even shot footage using a Canon 60D before which played on the computer). We ejected the card, and re-inserted into the card reader. The computer was now saying the card could not be read. We ejected, and inserted the card back into the camera. The camera could see all the files, and even played back some video, so we know the content is there. We ejected, and attempted to try again, this time on a Mac (the first computer was an PC). The Mac also was not reading the card, and asked us to format it (which we DID NOT). We ejected and inserted back into the PC. I ran a recovery search on the card (while not writing anything directly onto the card) using EaseUS Data Recovery software. The software located all 45 MOV files, and they were all the correct size. However, they were RAW files. We recovered them onto my hard drive (not to the card itself). I now have all the RAW files, but they still will not play like normal MOV files. This isn't a simple file conversion issue, as I have multiple file conversion programs that can read RAW files. There is another issue at play. HERE IS MY PROPOSAL: Reply with a bid for recovery of the full lot of 45 files. There is approx 25 GB of files. If you feel you might be able to fix this, I will send you the smallest file of the 45. If you can get the MOV file to play, we can move forward on the full lot. My guess is that the same fix will apply to all 45 files. I realize that might sound like a bit of a raw deal, but I am not the one who is financing the recovery. My boss would be paying for it, and is not willing to put out money unless he knows we can get these fixed. Thanks! # # # Not to imply this is the problem/fix, but I did come across what sounded like a potential fix on a forum - I just have no idea how to go about something like this. Here is that information: As you know MOV files contain some kind of links or packages, called atoms and block called 'moov' in the header which link them. It looks like hybrid cams record this 'moov' section separately after the video recording is stopped. And this is the reason why restoration is so tricky and usually restored files won't play, giving off an error that 'QuickTime can't play this file, because it is a file QuickTime doesn't understands' or something like that. So here is the solution to solve this problem: Use your favorite undelete software to restore the MOV files from inside the folder 100Media. After that check the card for lost files (you can search for such with PC Inspector Data Recovery which is a freeware, or other program - I think that in the end I used iCare). You will notice that it will contain the MOV files with the same size the ones you restored, but also - for each of them is followed by one extra much smaller MOV file. Now this is the trick - this extra MOV file contains the missing 'moov' fragment. Now you have to use your favorite HEX editor to put it where it belongs. If you don't have one I recommend HxD HEX Editor. First open the bigger MOV file you restored - it should begin with ' qt.... ' something followed by lots of zeros. After a while the zeros should end and the mdat data stream should begin (you will see a mess of characters). Then - open in a separate tab the smaller MOV file you've restored and select everything in it and copy it to clipboard. Return to the tab, containing the opened larger MOV file, position your cursor just after the last zero before the data stream and click Edit - > Paste insert . Then save the file and open it with QuickTime - it's fixed.
