Hello! It is a good idea to move this to the database for several reasons. No, Excel is not a database, Excel is simply a program for worksheets sometimes used as a "database". What I suggest is a real database and that is the MS Access database. Hello fellow South African! Your project can be done in Excel or, if you would prefer a more robust database option, in Microsoft Access. I have done plenty of work in both, and you will be able to see some samples of my work that I have uploaded to my profile. I agree that Word is definitely not the right vehicle for this. Using Excel or Access (a better option here) you will be able to easily search for and display specific data, show reports, extract data directly to email and so many other things.
