Good morning, I need a database to enter companies and their contact details. The fields to be included are: Data of the record: Name of the company Address P.C., City Country (1) Tel. Fax. Email Contact person Contact person's email Contact person's mobile phone number. Source (2) Contracts (3) Products (4) Comments: (5) 1 and 2, to be choosen from a list that I can modify 3. the concept will be choosen from a list that the user can modify. Import and date 4. Please find attached the products list, each company can have up to five different products. I want to have different menus for each category. I.e., once I choose a "seccion" only the "capitulos" fron this section will appear on the following window. 5. Each record will have as many comments as needed and this will be included with the data of registration. I want this basabase to be searchable from any field, products, source, postal code... and mixed together. The results of the search may be exportable to excel. It would be also good to allow import records from excel (or .csv) into the database (with no products, source, and coments that will be included later on the database). It has to be good enough to register up to 80,000 records and it have to be extremely user-friendly, since non IT people will be in charge of entering the data, search, import, export, etc. I do not care about the program on which this database is done. Proposing to build the database as a web-based application which can be hosted using free software and accessed using browsers (can be hosted later over internet with minimal extension). Also the application being intended for non-IT business users, proposing to start with building a prototype first, which will finalize the screen-flows and ,functionalities. Once finalized, the screens can be reused for building the actual solution. The bid amount is tentative initial bid for the full solution. Hi, The quickest way is, create the database in Microsoft Access or Mysql and build the front end with asp or php. Please let me know if you have web server facilities in house or external. In this way the database can be accessed anywhere. I have testing webserver, you can view the project any time. Please let me know, Nizam

Hello, My name is Wim Lauret I have the Dutch Nationality and I live in Thailand where me and my wife have a building material shop. Before I moved to Thailand I have been working for 25 years as a head of the graphic department. The last twelve years at a Dutch Aerospace research Company. The job you are offering is in my opinion suited for the Filemaker Pro Database a very friendly user interface with custom designs possibilities. In the past I made several kinds of databases in Filemaker, all of them user friendly, as I like to say "hooligan proof" This is my first bid on a job placed on freelancer. When you're interested I can send you some screendumps of user friendly databases I made before. This job can be done exactly as you described in sixty hours. The only small problem I see is the list with contracts. It depends of the content and is it in every contract the same fields (name, adress, etc.) you want to use. My experience is that after I made a database the user want more tools like creating Email newsletters, sales reports, etc. To implement these tools doesn't have to be an expensive move.
