I am looking to build a site to crowd fund certain services. The services will be carried out over a period of about one year and will have certain milestone or inflection points which if not reached will cause the project to cease. The services will need to be fully funded at the outset - i.e., we will have to reach a threshold amount before the services/project will begin. If at any point a milestone is not reached a prorated portion of the donation will be refunded to all contributors. The web site will need a home/splash page, a projects/service page listing all active projects, a registration and donation collection mechanism, and pages for each active project containing project details which would only be accessible by contributors. I may also want to include a means for registered user to post or start projects. There would also have to be some type of backend database for storing donor information and project details (primarily documents). The completed project will be tied into a particular type of service and would be something like other crowdsourcing site like gofundme but with a means of refunding unused funds if milestones are not reached.
