Data Synronisation Service and API

Signagelive is a world leader in cloud-based media delivery solutions for digital signage, providing a platform that supports an unrivalled number of end devices, from, embedded media players to Smart TVs We are adding to our platform a capability to deliver weather information for display on digital signage screens managed by our CMS. End users of the Signagelive platform will be able to select a weather widget which will either form a fullscreen piece of content or will be displayed on a section of a screen (called a zone). Widgets are built using HTML5 and all Signagelive built weather widgets will request data from a Signagelive Weather API. The Signagelive Weather API will retrieve data from forecast.io. [login to view URL] provide two key peices of information; current weather conditions and forecasts for a given location. This scope of this project is to build the Signagelive Weather API and the background services required to synchronise data from [login to view URL] to a Signagelive data store. In order to use the [login to view URL] solution address information provided in the Signagelive Weather API call must be converted to latitude and longitude using the Google Geolcation API. The weather data should be synchronized regularly so that forecast information is not out of date, however locations (addresses) that have not requested forecasts for 7 days should stop synchronising as there is a cost to the Signagelive business for making the requests to the [login to view URL] API. The deliverables for this project are: 1. Provide a design that meets the full requirements in the attached document, we will sign this off before moving to the implementation 2. Develop a Geocoding service 3. Develop a Weather Synchronization Service 4. Develop a API to return the Weather data 5.
