Automation in IT Departments

We are an organisation that offers managed services to IT departments. We offer our corporate clients and potential clients a monthly publication which is targeted on issues and areas of interest to IT managers. We have produced these publications for the past 15 years. The chosen article will be distributed to between 400 and 500 members of the IT Management community in Australia. This month we are interested in an article that focuses on automation in IT departments. We are looking for someone to write an informative piece on new technologies that allow businesses to automate every day repetitive and mundane aspects of IT operations. We would like the article to focus on: * New technologies that allow simple and mundane tasks to be automated. * Pros and cons of introducing such systems into a business We are interested in an opinion piece that is referenced and provides validity to any opinions expressed. Links to websites or noting where the reference originated would be required. Real case studies or references would be required to back any points that are addressed in this article. We have attached 2 example past articles that should give bidders an idea of the quality and standard of article we are looking for. The article must be well written in clear English and follow the traditional format offering the reader an introduction, body and conclusion. The word limit is 1200 words and may not exceed 1300 words or be below 1100 words. This article needs to be completed and submitted NO LATER THAN 9.00am Monday 23rd August, 2010 We expect the article to be original and not copied from any other source. We will mark the article unfinished and will not except the article if the above criteria are not met in anyway.
