Hi, I have lots of experience with this. Is it possible to get the ma file so i can look at it and bid accordingly? Depending on how it has being modelled, it may not be possible to cimply convert the file. maya uses both poloygon and surface models, whereas iges nd step are a surface format. If it is modelled in polygons and then exported as iges, tha files will be empty and you will have the problems you are having. Anyway igf you are able to send me the file i can advise accordingly. Hi i have done a lot of work like this. In my university's Fase team i had experience of doing of this type of task three time in three consecutive years. The parts were o CBR 600 cc engine's Intake manifold and restrictor designed for Rapid prototyping. Both part were manufactured and sponsored by Stratasys USA. Hi Eddie, I use Creo 2.0 so I could export natively. I also own a 3D printer and manage prints from STP -> Creo -> STL -> Gcode it is usually a smooth process. Hope to hear back from you, Francis Courchesne, jr. eng.
