Clean up code and improve load time

I have a website - [login to view URL] - which I would like to improve with respect to load time and generally tidying up the code. ? I would like you to: Optimise the site to improve the load time of each page. Particularly the homepage. This might include changes to the image-based navbar and other suggestions that you may have. ? All of your suggestions must be approved by me before execution. Clean up the code. You will need to check the coding of the pages of the site, find errors, and ways to reduce the code so that it is efficient as possible. ? It would be great to have the site WC3 standard compliant, and for all the images and links to have ALT tags etc. **** At the beginning of the project you will need to analyse the site and send me a report or description of what changes you would plan to put in place to improve the performance of the site. ? We will then discuss these changes and approve or reject. Once this is done, you can then start putting those changes into place. **** The site is very important to me. At all times you will keep a backup of original files that that if your changes cause an error on the site, we can revert back to the original. ## Deliverables I would like to maintain the security of the site. A while back there were security 'holes' which allowed the site to be hacked and I had a coder analyse the site and make changes to improve security. The changes you make will need to be just as secure. The image quality is already compressed to the lowest level that I am happy with. I don't think there is room to compress the images further. I would like to keep the 'Site Pal' character that is there, so please don't suggest removing him!
