Customise Tumblr Page

Looking to tweak and customise layout and functions of my tumblr front page to use as website home page. I want the posts/images to be click-though links to the online store/other urls. I also would like the menu changed to be external hyperlinks as well. I need added code to assist the ongoing customisation ie. for title logo image. my current tumblr theme is quite restricting, but has a good look and feel.
