Hi coders, I have a VB application that extracts data from an access database and then populates another access database with specific data. This second access database is then used to produce a list of patients (as defined by the user variables of the application), for the purpose of produce a newsletter mailing list. I need to have the exe altered to allow extraction of data from an alternative datasource. This datasource is contained within a MSSQL database. Information that needs to be extracted includes a range of patient details such as:- Patient ID Status ??" is patient active or not Title First name Surname Address 1 Address 2 Suburb State Postcode Date of last appointment Combined $ spend on products and services Patients preferred doctor The changes will be evident in the settings area of the application. The user will be asked to select the type of database they have :- 1. Capable (existing) or 2. Front Desk. The appropriate connection details for the MSSQL will need to be added. The 3rd option to connect using the Excel file will remain unchanged. The complete source will be supplied as well as sample databases (both Access and SQL). The coder will be required to provide an exe for me to test and once accepted, recompile to produce a setup/installation version. I have an almost identical application (it has a label printing component ??" all other source is identical) that I will require the same changes to be replicated in. A setup file for this will also be required. To avoid confusion, I’ll supply source after first part completed. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
