Greetings everyone, We are looking for advice on what is the best way to search text in database tables from a webpage. We will have roughly fifty web pages which will execute searches. We have outlined the basic parameters how the searches will function on a webpage and this can be seen in Search Functionality 1.0 doc. The types of searches will be used quite frequently combined together or possibly individually depending on the webpage. Some of the questions we have are: What is the most efficient way to search the database tables? Should we use full text searching? I have read about full text searching for MySql but this appears to only works for MyISAM tables, and all of our tables are currently INNO DB. Would using SQL “LIKE?? comparison for all field that are require be an efficient possibility Do you have any suggestions on how to create a standard search algorithm based on the Search Functionality 1.0. doc? The end result of this bid we like to have a detailed word document -Answering the questions above -Explaining the best method for searching database tables from web pages according to Search Functionality 1.0.doc. This bid is not for one person, we are hoping to hear a wide range of feedback and in result will accept all bidders who have put a full effort response.
