Asterisk Based e-learning Project

We are looking for an experienced developer to enter in a new and exciting web based application for online learning and tutoring. The project is at this point a concept and we are looking for the right provider to build the proof of concept. This project will be handled in 2 main phases: Phase I - This bid Phase II - Detailed application design, Development and Implementation at third party hosting provider The ideal provider to be choosen at Phase I is one that can also handle Phase II. Please provide a profile of your capabilities and experience in your bid. Please bid only if you have solid experience with VoIP, Asterisk and CMS. Features: The basic functionality we need at this point is a Skype like VoIP functionality (SIP based) integrated into a real time presentation and desktop sharing environment. (e.g. [login to view URL]; [login to view URL], etc.). The student has a pre-charged account and is charged in a time base of interaction with the teacher, which receive a % of the payment. The proof of concept has the following scenario: A simple web page where Teachers/Students can register. If one has a teacher profile, he can register and define his tutoring price and have his presence at a Web Directory and at an IM client (jabber type) After both (teacher and student) are online (login done with Email Login functionality) they access the main portal from which they starts the session interacting through VoIP/Chat and the instructor trains the student either with his own material/presentations through desktop sharing or through joint websurfing. Features: - Asterisk setup with IM server / Client - Simple client GUI (very basic design at this point) - SIP based VoIP communication between Instructor and Learner - Realtime Desktop Sharing (Synchronous tool like [login to view URL] or [login to view URL]) - 100% web-based - Must support multi parallel 1:1 or 1:many Instructor-Student sessions (scalable architecture) - Only open-source software pieces without royalties or licence fees. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
